G’day, I’m Andrea

​Originally from the cobblestones of Northern England, my love for travel started young.

At 18, I left my hometown of Warrington and head off to seek adventure living and working across Europe where I met my husband Jim in Gibraltar and we began a family together.

In 2007, me, Jim and our three daughters packed up four suitcases and moved to the other side of the world to begin a new chapter in Adelaide, South Australia. We’ve never looked back, Adelaide quickly became a place I fell completely in love with.

How Adelaide Gallivant came together

With a background in hospitality and tourism, I later completed a Certificate III in Travel & Tourism here in Adelaide and gained hands-on experience working with a home-based travel agent.

That’s when I discovered what I truly love: researching, planning, and crafting unforgettable travel experiences.

Why Adelaide Gallivant?

What began as an intent passion for Adelaide quickly became a desire to help travellers navigate Australia with more clarity, confidence, and excitement. Australia is a huge country and can feel overwhelming when planning a trip.  As an Australian Trip Designer, I step in to relieve that pressure and iron out a trip that works.

I am not a content creator (well, I try!)
I am not a travel influencer 
I am not a National Geographic photographer (I wish!)

What I am is a passionate, detail-driven travel designer who creates personalised, thoughtful Australian travel plans helping you experience Australia without the overwhelm.

​A little more about me

I am completely hooked on travel,  forever researching, refining, exploring new ideas and destinations, and Australia is a personal obsession.

Whilst I have yet to see around every corner of this huge continent (it’s a big place!),  I have travelled extensively across the country by boat, road, rail, and air, and have ticked off many iconic Aussie Bucket list dream locations.
